Indian Blue Worms, also called Perionyx excavatus, are earthworms commonly employed for composting.
Often mistaken for red wigglers, Indian Blues have a deeper purple color and have much more activity.
These blues consume waste and nutrients at a much faster rate than wigglers, but live in the same depth of the soil as red wigglers.
